Sunsetting the Public Voyager API

Sep 05, 2023

Alex Cheng

After careful consideration and analysis, we have decided to shut down our Voyager API, our public infrastructure-as-a-service product. Despite the success of Voyager API, we believe our best contributions towards the success of Cosmos and IBC come from continuing to improve the open source products and collaborating with partner teams to drive forward the growth of the interchain. There are many great providers of infrastructure, both free and paid, both public and private. These providers do a fantastic job offering RPC, LCD/REST, and GRPC endpoints across a wide array of interchain networks. Rather than compete with our friends in this industry, we’re choosing to refocus our efforts around IBC open source development..

Our Commitment to IBC Tools and Development Partnerships

As we renew our focus on IBC tools and development partnerships, we remain committed to providing the highest quality products and services to our clients and users of our open source software. We believe that IBC will play a critical role in the future of the entire blockchain industry, and we are excited to be at the forefront of this innovation. Our team is working relentlessly to develop new tools and resources that will help the entire interchain succeed in the ever-evolving blockchain landscape.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we want to thank all of our clients and partners for their support of Voyager API. We look forward to continuing to serve the Cosmos community with tools like Go Relayer, Horcrux, interchaintest, Packet-forward middleware, and development partnerships like the one with Noble. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team at hello@strange.love. Thank you.
